27 Ltr Meteor Special
We were commissioned to build a 'Big Blower Bentley' powered by a V12 engine by our customer.
A full fuel management control was developed so the car would be tractable and docile in traffic situations but also a powerful fast cruisier when on the open road.
Particular attention was made to the cooling and oil systems so the finished car would not overheat in high temperature situations.
We used a Rolls Royce Phantom II as a basis and a Rolls Royce Meteor 27 Litre V12 engine with Bentley bulkhead, steering, radiator and brake components.
We were contacted by BBC Top Gear who were interested in using the car for a feature they had planned.
The episode which aired March 2012, that saw Jeremy recreate the Battle of Britain with the Petersen aero-engined car and a flame-spitting retro BMW, called the 'Brutus'.
The Stig also had a play in the car and took it around the track. As can be seen in Episode 6 Series 18 of Top Gear UK.
